D'OH!! Here we go...

Well, wouldn't you know it, just when you sign your life away on a lease for a house, the boss comes along and asks questions about my DOG. Why, you ask? Well, Pete's boss is working on the possibility of sending Pete (and possibly ME) to San Francisco to work for a few months. Pete thinks that, since they would have to put him up in one of those corporate fully furnished apartments while he's there, it wouldn't cost anymore money if I went along too...they would just have to find an apartment that allows dogs. So he thinks that is why his boss asked him about my dog.

Now, of course, I have a 3-ring binder full of decorating ideas that I've been working on for this new house of ours, for the past couple of months. I've printed out ideas from HGTV.com, Better Homes & Gardens.com, and various other sites like DIYnetwork.com, along with how-to instructions for various projects, and plans for painting, and other cosmetic ideas. I added photos of each room of the house and drew ideas all around them, furniture placement, etc., and I've been itching to get into that house (we don't have the keys yet), so that I can start making plans and painting some rooms.

So this San Francisco thing is like an interruption of all these plans of mine, and I'm not sure what I would be doing out there every day while Pete's at work---I don't know anyone, I don't know my way around, etc.---but Pete suggested that I could work at a temp agency or a museum or something. So we'll see what happens.

Technically, we would be living in San Jose, which is about 45 minutes away from SF. That is where Pete's company headquarters is located, so that's where he would be working while we are out there. I don't know much at all about San Jose, so I might just start doing some google research to find out what is there, but I don't know for sure if I'll be going along with him or not yet. In fact, we don't even know WHEN this might happen, so we're kind of in limbo.

Pete's son, Nate, would be living alone in the new house while we go, and at least we'd have a place to come back to, so we just decided no matter what they decide about SF, we'll still get the house. Whether or not I'll be able to go to SF with Pete remains to be seen. If not, I'll just stay here with Nate and decorate the house while Pete is gone.

Well, so that's the scoop. If we are sent out to SF, we won't be able to go to Camp again in May, where we met last year. So that would be a huge bummer. Otherwise, we both look at it as some kind of life adventure, so whatever happens, happens.

Bye for now.

Love, Sassy Girl
