Ah well, it was better to be safe and home watching the game on t.v. I think. I am not a big fan of huge crowds of people.
I started out the day trying to pack stuff, but gave up a couple hours later, and couldn't do it. I feel like I just finished UNpacking around here and getting settled, now I have to REpack everything up again. SIGH. Moving is never any fun. Now we might have to go help Pete's kids move this week, too. Everybody's changing and moving and progressing forward, but I still tend to get stuck in the past a lot.
Well, in 6 weeks I'll be standing in the new house, surrounded by boxes, wondering where to start unpacking...I've created an entire binder of decorating ideas, with photos, and all sorts of plans. Pete joked with me (I think he was joking?) and said, "Ehh, we'll start out driving over towards the house but we're REALLY moving to California." I don't think that's going to happen though. He said later on that he would prefer to wait until after his mom passes on before going too far from her. I rather agree with that, she needs him to be there for her as much as possible.
Pittsburgh as been relatively quiet today, to my shock and surprise. I thought it would be like some national holiday around here or something. I did hear something about a parade happening soon, but I don't know the details. They sure love their football. I've never lived in a place like this, where everybody dresses exactly the same, in black & gold jerseys, all the time. I mean it's weird, everywhere you go, everybody has the same exact stuff on. I just don't get it. But ok, it WAS a cool game, I gotta admit, I was on the edge of my seat especially towards the end when Atlanta was winning!! That was so cool, though, to see the Steelers come back right at the very end and win like that!
Ah well. Time for me to go make some dinner. Bye for now.
Love, Sassy Girl
