Well, the Journey tribute band was pretty good, I have to admit. They were not the same band I saw years ago in Michigan though. This one was impressive, especially when the lead guitarist played with the high heel of a SHOE during one of his solo's! There were at least 60-70 people there, all dancing---especially GUYS standing out there, headbanging and playing air guitar! It was fun, and I was impressed that the lead singer really did sound very much like Steve Perry. He knew all the lyrics and he hit all the high notes...I'll betcha he's kickin' himself about not having a video on youtube!! hehehehehe

Well it's my second week of being an unemployed slob AGAIN, and frankly I'm fed up. I walked over to the elementary school nearby and brought a resume, telling them that I would like to be invited to give a classroom presentation about Anne Frank and the Holocaust. I was told that they take the 6th graders every May to the Museum in DC where I used to work...so I suggested that they allow me to be their personal tour guide, since that's what I did nearly every day while working there. My resume will be passed on to the principal, so we'll see if any of it actually happens. Then I thought, "I could substitute teach, I have a BA degree!" But, when I got the application packet in the mail, apparently in Pittsburgh a BA degree is not enough, you also have to have a teaching certification. SIGH. I have mine half finished. I'm thinking that I should probably go back to school and finish the damned thing, THEN I can teach, even if it's just part-time as a substitute. I'm looking into that now. I probably have to wait a YEAR to establish residency before they'll even LET me go back to finish it, which blows.
All my life, since the age of 16, I have had a job. Most of my life, I've had two jobs at one time. So having NO job, is a foreign concept to me, and it bothers me a great deal that I'm sitting here doing nothing all day. I'm bored to death. Lonely too. I am not exactly enthused to be unemployed at Xmas time. It sucks.
Well, that's all the news for now. I don't have anything of interest to write about really. Time to go take a nap.
Bye for now. Love, Sassy Girl
