Good God in HEAVEN, I hate moving.
It took us TWO full days, 12 hours each, with two separate trips in a 26 foot truck, and we THOUGHT we would have plenty of help, but we had five 20-something's who proved to be mostly worthless and very disappointing. The first day went fairly well because we had two more 40-something's helping us, but we had that truck packed from floor to ceiling and STILL had to go back on Sunday to get the rest...we made the 20-something's who jerked around doing next-to-nothing all day long fill the truck overnight, (since they really wanted to stay up all night to party), and they half-ass packed the truck in the worst way possible.
Then they slept in all damned day on Sunday, getting up at 3 p.m., and then complaining all day long that "you guys have too much stuff," and "we're too tired, and worn out and sore," and "I'm sick of doing this," whiney ass bastages....I say send 'em all to military boot camp to get some discipline. They hindered our progress more than anything. Worthless lazy 20-somethings. I told Pete, I will NEVER MOVE AGAIN, unless we HIRE MOVERS TO DO IT.
As a matter of fact, I'm not even carrying my friggin PURSE on the friggin PLANE when we go to San Francisco (and I believe we're going June/July/August)---we'll just buy everything we need when we get there. My arm would fall off if I had to carry anything right now. Seriously, I've been eating ALEVE like candy.
So now I'm dealing with aches and pains and soreness and stiffness everywhere, and I've noticed my eyesight is getting worse. I cannot see very well anymore at all and I'm getting a bit worried. I'll have to wear my glasses all the time now I think.
Anyway, so we're all moved in, surrounded by mess and boxes and chaos all over the place....but today I set up the living room and we got FIOS on the t.v., so life is good...and I got most of the kitchen unpacked. I also made our first real dinner, so that was a nice thing. We ate outside on the deck. It's so peaceful and nice out there. We really love this house. Once we're all unpacked, which might take 8 months, who knows, we are going to have a house warming party.
Well, I have to go because I have more things to move and we're still sleeping on the floor right now, (no bed frame put together at this point), but I hear it calling me....and I'm POOPED.
