"Peace, Love and Happiness"

That is the subject line Pete wrote to me today in an email...

I woke up today in a foul mood...but I'm not a morning person anyway. It's gloomy and grey, rainy and dark outside, I couldn't find the right shoes to wear, changed them 3 times, changed my blouse twice, my hair didn't turn out quite right, and I forgot my earrings, AND my stupid work ID, so I had to turn around and go back home to get it, but I forgot my earrings AGAIN...grrrrrr...so now I'm sitting here earring-less, with another pair of wrong shoes on, feeling all discombobulated. Then I open my email and read:

Good morning my love,

Well, after we said good bye last night I fell asleep. Right there in
bed, I just fell asleep. I just got up at 7AM. So I have had a wonderful
nights sleep my dear. Thank you. You relax me, put me at ease, and I
am so happy that I have met you and am getting to know you.

I so look forward to kissing you good night each night, seeing your
face first thing in the morning, and everything else that that
implies for my life.

So today, I am in the mood to quit my job, pack my shit, and get outta here.

But, check with me again later folks, because today is "visit with Peter day," and the roller coaster ride may just change direction again. SIGHHH. And so it goes.
